Thinking Small?

Thinking Small?

The average wedding size has dipped in the past few years.

For some, it’s budget. The cost of living isn’t anyone’s favorite thing right now.  More heads = more food/bar = more cost = choosing small.  Others are choosing intimate.  They prefer less production and more shared experience with their closest people.

One of our favorite wedding trends over the past few years is breaking the “norm” — whatever that is — and doing what feels right for you.  We applaud any rebellion that leads to a more personal experience.  Which begs the question, what means the most to you?

If you’re thinking small because you love the idea of sharing a big experience with less people, we love it, and you will too!  The sky’s the limit. Shameless plug: Check out The Foyer, our new modern venue in downtown Grand Rapids that has this very thought in its DNA.

If you’re thinking small because of budget, but you secretly wish you could invite more people… let us help you break the rules to find a way to invite them!  We’re seeing some couples start later in the day to focus more on the party! We’ve seen ceremonies where everyone gathers around the couple on the dance floor for their vows.  There was something very personal and unexpectedly intimate about that experience and it definitely took the party to the next level!  Reimagining your day allows you to rethink expected budgets which can make all the difference if sharing your best day with more friends is what matters most to you.

You do you! That’s the new “norm.”  How can we help?
